Valentine Oreos

I love Valentine’s Day and feel like the kids and I do more with this holiday than any other and I think it’s the simple fact that there are no family gatherings around this day and the weather is too cold to spend all day out there. I’ve updated the blog to where you can look through all of our past Valentine’s Day activities under the Projects drop down menu up top.

This post is all about sprinkles and Oreos. Two of my children’s favorite things. The recipe is simple. Melt some chocolate, dip oreo in chocolate and sprinkle. Also note our makeshift island. That’s one thing I can’t wait to do in this new house, bust down some walls and add a huge island. Probably coming this fall so stay tuned.

After they were cooled, I scoured our cabinets for containers to put these in. You know, one’s I could easily decorate. Andy gets so many different sized containers from his students for Christmas treats and I save all of them to reuse and re-gift.img_5393web img_5396web img_5406webimg_5423web img_5426web img_5427web

I also just placed some Oreos in Valentine cupcake holders and put into a cupcake box I had on hand. Embellish with some ribbon and foam hearts and it’s a perfect gift!
