Toddlers and candy, not exactly the combination I want a lot of this Easter so in an effort to minimize the candy in the Easter baskets this year, I’ve come up with some solid alternatives that I’m very excited about.
Do you hide your children’s Easter baskets? This year I’m doing clues. Basically I cut out magazine clippings of things found in our house (i.e. television, washing machine, vacuum). You start with one picture, say the vacuum. When the kids go to the vacuum, there is another picture on the vacuum leading them to another household item, say refrigerator, and the pictures keep leading to more and more clues when eventually they find their basket. My parents did this for us when we were children and L and P are finally old enough to hunt for their basket. I’m so excited to help them on Easter morning!
