I’ve been spending a lot of my free time, you know between work, diapers and pumping learning about Photoshop. I bought Photoshop at the end of last year and since then I’ve been reading blogs and watching videos on the different tools and features of Photoshop. What I’ve learned so far is that learning about Photoshop is never ending. This thing can do anything. One of the first things I did was download Pioneer Woman’s actions. You can find them here. I use these a lot and are really nice for quick edits. I’ve also been watching the Shoot Fly Shoot videos and they not only taught me a lot about my camera but Photoshop as well. I have a link on the side of my blog for any interested in their classes. They are very affordable and very informative. I would recommend them to anyone looking to learn more about DSLR’s or Photoshop.
Just for comparative sake, here’s a picture of Liam and I right out of the camera.
And here is after I made some edits in Photoshop. I’m still trying to get better at the smooth skin action but I’m telling you, if you are wanting your pictures to pop (or simply take an under exposed photo like the one above and make it better), check out the Shoot Fly Shoot tutorials.
