baby week 24

Baby week 24 was marked by a glucose test, of which I passed with flying colors.  However, during that blood sample, the doctors found out I was low in iron and basically the major side effect of being anemic was tiredness, which explains a lot.  I mean I use to be a morning person until this pregnancy when there were days I would sleep til 10am.  Needless to say they put me on an iron supplement and I’m already feeling better and less tired.

Other new developments is that the baby is constantly moving.  Some of the kicks have even caught me off guard in the fact that they were so strong it kinda scared me.  Of course Andy loves to feel the baby kick and I love seeing his reaction when he feels it.  I just can’t wait to see him interact with the baby when it’s here.

I also registered this week.  It was tough and very overwhelming.  In fact, after the 3 hours at just two stores, I came home and took a nap. Who knew there was so much to choose from.  And as a first time mom, I feel the need to research everything which is exhausting.  I eventually gave up.  One thing that I am doing different with my registry though is using babyli.st which allows me to add items from all over the web instead of just specific stores.  The other reason I went with this for my registry is the fact that half of the items at Babies R Us is a lot cheaper from Amazon and I just can’t ask people to buy me gifts strictly from a store when in reality I don’t care where they come from.

So here is my week 24 photo. No real changes to cravings or food aversions.  Still the same as they’ve been the whole pregnancy.

And here’s a recap of other weekly photos:
