Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Andy and I are truly blessed with so many amazing people in our lives.  Here’s a recap of our Christmas.

Friday morning, before we headed up to stay with our parents for the weekend, Andy and I had a Christmas breakfast and exchanged gifts we had given to one another.  My gift arrived earlier in the week (and we actually bought it before Thanksgiving) so it was no surprise there.  We purchased our dining room table from Crate and Barrel before Thanksgiving but it was on back order until the end of December.  We got the table Thursday.  The chairs we purchased from Ikea the weekend before.  This table was long-awaited and we have been saving our pennies for it’s arrival so I was so excited the moment was actually here.  The table arrival was also the reason for our Christmas breakfast since we now had a table to eat an actual meal on.

We realized that the rug is a little small but it was only $40 from Ikea so it will work for now.  We still need some wall art and I would like another small cabinet or bookshelf to store china and dishes.  Keeping my eyes peeled at goodwill.

I was so excited to decorate our table for the holiday season.  Here are some photos.

For the table setting, I just tried to use things that we had around the house.  Did you notice my goodwill China in that mix?

As for Andy’s present, I surprised him with a Kenneth Cole watch.  He’s been wanting a watch but it kinda slipped his radar for this past year so he was very shocked and surprised.

We then spent the weekend with our two families.  Andy’s sister and family came up from TN for the week (so I’m sure we will be seeing them throughout the week) so we spent Christmas morning with Andy’s family and had Christmas night with my family.  Like I said earlier, we are truly blessed and have great family and friends.
