A Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Halloween

Well Andy and I haven’t really dressed up for Halloween in awhile, like 2 years.  So this year, when we figured out that we would be able to attend our friends Halloween party, I started planning our Halloween costumes 2 weeks in advance.  Let’s just say I spent a lot of time planning and at goodwill.

I am a little disappointed that I didn’t get a full body shot of us during the night, or a better picture of the hat I made.  Here is an upclose of the hat that I made along with the chimney sweep.
The hat was made by cutting a huge straw hat that I found at goodwill.  I also chopped the top of the hat off to make it flat and not rounded.  I then hot glued a piece of cardboard (i.e. a Wheaties cereal box) to the inside of the hat to make it flat and then gave it a good dose of black spray paint.  The chimney sweep was made out of a brook I spray painted black, 2 circular pieces of cardboard (again my Wheaties cereal box) which I glued the broom bristles between and attached it to the broom.
There were also some other great costumes.  The lovely Travis and Abbey in their Robin Hood costumes.

Jon and Val in their Princess Bride outfits.
