Lots and Lots of Skewers

This past Saturday, Andy and I decided to have some friends over for a get together.  Little did I know or realize how large the group grew.  We had a total of 16 people over.  I decided earlier in the week to make skewers, a change from the red meat burgers we have about every weekend.  Saturday morning, I began cutting up the veggies and making the skewers.  I wish Saturday wouldn’t have flown by or I would have taken more pictures of the finished product.  The bold colors of the cut vegetables (and pinnaple) was just beautiful.  You can also tell by the mass amount of vegetables I had here of how many skewers I was making.  We had chicken, steak and turkey sausage (with the pinnaple).  And I am proud to say that by the end of the night, there were only 4 skewers left.  I’d like to give myself a pat on the back for the success.

In between the cutting and the skewing, I was also able to make some white wine sangria with items I had below.  Again, wish I would have taken a final product of the presentation. 

It was such a fun night just catching up with friends and playing games.  Can’t wait for the next get together!
